Hotel Oberhausen Neue Mitte affiliated by Meliá

Parking was uncomplicated, Junior suite was large and enough, with a sofa and a bench seat. Spare electrical sockets were available (even 2x USB-A beside the beds). The bed was comfortable with a choice of 2 pillows, a sleeper and a sit up pillow. Bedside lighting was excellent. I found the breakfast good.

We wanted to visit Westfield CentrO for some shopping and to see the Christmas markets. This hotel is at the perfect location to do so, since it's only a few minutes walking away. The bar downstairs is well priced and open 24/7. Room wise, the bathroom is great and the beds were comfy (even if the pillow was a bit soft for me). The staff was nice and helpful, just great overall.

Breakfast was amazing. Will suite everyone's taste and appetite, fresh food buffet, nice selection of cereals and tea, coffee, scrambled eggs, bacon, bread, etc. Yogurt and cake for desert. fresh fruit and muffins.

Staff was extremely friendly. We arrived early, but we could leave our luggage at the hotel and even medication that needed to stay cooled. Always a friendly hello, when entering the hotel. Our upstair neighbors were very loud (at 10.30 am), and after we told this to the reception staff, they immediately went upstairs and the noise stopped. The room was spotless and very comfy (had the family room). Breakfast in the morning was delicious! And the hotel was very central situated (within 5 minutes you were in the mall). When we left we forgot our passports in the room. After a phonecall, they posted our passports and thankfully, within a week, we had them back in our possession! Great hotel, great staff: we are definitely going back!

The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is very close to CentrO (the mall) and Neue Mitte (bus line to the main station).
